About The Artist

My commitment to sustainability began in my childhood, growing up in a small town in California's Central Valley in the 1980s. In that close-knit community, high school football games were a weekly anticipation and family gatherings were a way of life. I vividly recall experiencing aggravated allergies due to crop dusters spraying chemicals near cotton fields, and this experience solidified my resolve to work with environmentally conscious materials and practices. We primarily use linen, a highly sustainable raw material, and our printers utilize water-based, pigment dyes that are free of harmful chemicals.
As an American-based brand, we strive to produce as much as possible within the United States. We offer modern, playful designs in classic palettes, all crafted from the finest sustainable linens. When you choose Lolita Garcia Textiles, you are selecting beautifully designed textiles made from sustainable linen that will bring lasting beauty to your home.
My design inspiration comes from nature, architecture, travels, and my mother's family's generations of entrepreneurship in both Mexico and the United States. This led me to create a brand focused on minimal, modern, and geometric prints. Each pattern begins with hand drawings, either in gouache or with a drawing pen. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, I graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor's degree in Art with an Emphasis on Photography and a minor in Graphic Design. I have over 20 years of experience within the design industry, working on various high-end residential and commercial projects.
Our boutique textile line is hand-printed in California on 100% Belgian linen and digitally printed in Vermont on 100% Irish linen. We are proud to use the finest sustainable linens, made and harvested in both Belgium and Ireland.
